La Tula
This two-story Tex-Mex
joint opened its doors last December, and following the globe's new fondness for mezcal,
features a tequila bar on the first floor with a multitude of brands to taste-test.
Upstairs, the modern, 32-seat dining room adorned with art-deco chairs adds a touch of
class to Tex-Mex's pedestrian reputation. Marinated shrimp and vegetable (JY1200), grilled
chicken with mole (spicy chocolate sauce) (JY1600), churizo and homemade tortillas are a
few of the house specialties.
