I didn' choose these headphones; they just came with the player I bought. It's value is maybe JY500. The sound quality is OK, but I might buy some of those "clip-on" phones soon. I'm currently listening to the album Mer de Noms by A Perfect Circle. I'm a big fan of the band Tool and this is their lead singer's side project.

I chose these headphones for their brilliant sound-it can get very loud. They cost JY15,000 at Ishibashi Music in Shibuya, and the sound quality makes you feel like you're inside the music, mate! At the moment, I'm listening to a pretty wild compilation of dance tracks called Serial Killaz.

I chose my headphones because they give me great sound and a comfortable fit-all for only JY4000. The sound quality is excellent - direct, clear audio with great sound - proofing from background noise. I'm listening to Edgecore releases (Byron Bay Australia).

Sound advice

Whether you're rockin' to the latest pop chart topper, jammin' to your favorite reggae band or mellowing out with some classical music, if you're out on the streets, you're listening through headphones. This week, we convinced some people to turn down the volume to answer a few questions: Why did you choose those headphones and how much did they cost? How is the sound quality? And lastly, what are you listening to right now?

I just happened to pick my headphones up in Tower Records - they were free. The sound quality is fantastic! Right now I'm grooving to Madonna.

Why did I choose these headphones? If they're expensive - and these cost JY18,000 plus tax - they must be good. I'm a material girl. How's the sound quality? The dog's bollocks. I'm tuned in to DJs Jet More and Nick Taylor, live at Fuji Rock.
