SARI AND ADAM/
STUDENT AND DJ
Sari: We met at the
100 Yen Plaza in Hiroo. Adam approached me, and offered to carry my bags. In return for
the gallantry, I paid for Adam' shopping. When we want to go to somewhere romantic, we
head for Yoyogi Park on Sunday evenings.
KEN AND MARIKO/
DJS AT NEW YORK DEEP
We met at a dance party
about seven years ago. How did we fall in love? We both DJ together, and after working
together every night we got to know each other a little better. For us, the most romantic
spot in Tokyo is probably Harajuku-especially Yoyogi Park, on the north point of the
fountain. There's nice green grass, trees, sky, rainbows everything you need for
romance.
MIHARU AND SHIN/
RECORD SHOP WORKER AND HERB SHOP WORKER
Miharu: I met my honey
in Conscious Dreams in Okubo. He kissed me at a party and I liked it! The most
romantic location in Tokyo has to be Conscious Dreams, of course!
Love Story
Photos by Beezer We were feeling rather sensual
this week, but found ourselves short on romance. Rather than offer each other flowers, we
decided to send our philandering photographer out to pick up some amorous advice: where
and how did you meet your honey? And in case we decide to go out tonight, what is the most
romantic spot in Tokyo?
KEN AND CHIAKI/
A&R AND O.L.
Ken: I my sweetheart in London. We sort of met through a mutual friend. She came to our
house to return something, but I was the only person in the house at that time-and we hit
it off. The most romantic place to be in Tokyo is inside of a car, driving on the highway
in the late evening with wicked music playing.
SAMI AND POLLY/
ENGLISH TEACH AND DISCO DIVA
Sami: I met her in a
nightclub in Roppongi called Lexington Queen. I was dancing on a high platform area inside
the club, and one of her friends came over and started to talk to me. Then we all became
friends and later Polly and I started dating. The most romantic spot in Tokyo is on
the balcony of my girlfriend's apartment, sitting on the air conditioning fan unit,
looking out towards Tokyo Tower late at night. (Sorry, no visitors allowed without an
invitation!)
