SHOP CLERKS
We' been to Vacuum Records in Harajuku and Marui in Shinjuku, where we've amassed three
bags. We've got Legos, Teddy Bears, a Dear Bear T-shirt and a robot. We've been very
effective; so far today we've whacked five people with our bags!
ASUKA IDE/
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT
I've got four bags full, from Harajuku and Shibuya. What do they contain? A white coat, a
one-piece dress, a vest and a sweatshirt. I've used these bags to fend off many people
today!

ENGLISH TEACHER
I have four bags, picked up in Harajuku. What's in them? A wig, a dress, woolly teddy bear
socks and a Manchester United cup. Together we've bashed a lot of people today!

Shopping bags - a fashion accessory, a platform for slogans in really bad English, and the
best way to get your goods from A to Z. There's hardly a body on the streets without one!
This week our reporter indulges in a little retail therapy and bags a few savvy shoppers
in the bargain. They tell us what they've got and where it came from, and how many other
bodies have hit their sack.

CONSULTANTS
We've got two shopping bags from Sony Plaza, filled with sweets and a hand massager. How
many people have we hit today? Couldn't tell, really, but our bags are rather small and
light so I don't think we did any major damage!

We've only one bag between the two of us, which we got in Shinjuku. What's in it? Not
enough! A camera, a feather duster (free!), film and batteries. Since we're in Shinjuku
we've hit about a quarter of a million people even though we only have one bag.
