Fraser: I' from Scotland. I'm having a hard time deciding between the Kobe beef and
Korean BBQ. How do I get in the mood? Plenty of beer and good company. Being a part of the
international community is... heaven.
Conny: I hail from Holland. I like the Kobe beef as well, but also the corn and yakisoba.
Lots of people dancing, having a good time eating and drinking sure puts me in the mood.
After 24 years in Japan, this is like a bit of home.

I'm from England and I vote for the Spanish paella as best of the eats. Belly dancing
performed by Japanese girls is the only way to get a matsuri mood on.

We're from the US and Japan. The best eats? Brazilian, Ethiopean, Indian and Egyptian. We
get in the mood by being outside in the open air with a lot of beautiful culture and
people. It's fun because people are very eager to absorb new things and new ways of
thinking.

Food! Fun! Festivities! Er... international flavor! It's all there at those kokusai
matsuri - international festivals where Tokyoites in the know go to eat, drink, be merry
and rub sweaty elbows. This week our roving reporter manages to wipe the steam off his
lenses, find out where in the world all these people are coming from and whose grub is the
greatest, all while garnering a few recipes for getting in the matsuri mood. Whew.

I'm from the US. My vote for the best food? Japanese! The best attitude adjuster is beer
and, yes, I suppose beer.

We're both from the US and we love the Japanese food! Belly dancing is the way to get in
the mood. For us, life in Japan is a never-ending party. It's what you make of it!
