This year' best festival should be Fuji Rock. I'm particularly looking forward to the
electronica lineup, which includes New Order, Brian Eno, Cold Cut, Squarepusher and
Autechre. I've only got time for two days this year and hope there's no rain. Survival

This is my first summer in Japan but I really like the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, which is
great for relaxing and hanging out. This summer I'm looking forward to the Roskilde
Festival in Denmark, since my band is playing there. Tips for surviving the festival

I'm new to Japan, so I want to go to all the festivals. I'm particularly keen to check out
Fuji since I really enjoy the French band Air - especially "Sexy Boy." If you
want to know whether I'll be camping out for the whole festival, ask my boss. Crucial

Tokyo and environs will be hosting a
number of star-studded outdoor music festivals this summer, among them Fuji Rock, Summer
Sonic, Newport Jazz and the usual smattering of three-day trance parties. Before packing
their tents and heading into the sonic wilds, we asked Tokyoites about their favorite
festival, which festivals they'll be attending, which acts they're most looking forward
to, whether they'll be camping or heading out for a day trip, and any tips on surviving
the festival circuit.

My favorite summer festival is Glastonbury in England because I love UK music. In Japan,
I'm going to Summer Sonic this year because I want to see Beck. Unfortunately, it's going
to be impossible for me to camp this year but I'll still be utilizing my main survival
technique - alcohol.

Listening to music outdoors is great and I love Fuji Rock. This year I'm heading to Summer
Sonic, however, because I really want to see Beck, Zebra and Ocean Colour Scene. If I had
time, I would like to camp for the whole event. Preparations are important and people need
to take care of themselves and throw garbage in the proper places.
