Maki Nibayashi finds out how you can say hello to a new career with HiJobs.com

What does your company do?
Our websites (www.HiJobs.com and www.HiJobs.co.jp) connect employers with job-seekers in Asia. Employers can post an unlimited number of jobs for free. Job-seekers define their perfect job by registering with our "WeSearch" functionality, and our advanced software agents will find them a job for free.

At this point, our audience mainly consists of bilingual (Japanese-English) professionals with IT and Finance backgrounds in startup or Fortune 500 companies.

For employers who are actively recruiting, we offer a wide variety of value-added services to drive qualified candidates to their HiJobs job posts. Even our value-added services are priced well within reach of small start-up companies. Companies who use our value-added services are receiving up to eight times the applications as companies who do not.

How does the system work?
Job-seekers tell us their desired location, field of expertise, hours, salary, and more by registering with the "WeSearch" functionality on our website. We will find jobs that match only those parameters, and send them via email. They browse these emails, find jobs they like, and then apply for them by clicking a link in the email.

The impatient can do an online search of our database and find jobs immediately. They can, of course, post a résumEand cover letter (in English and/or Japanese), as well as manage all of your applications via your password-protected "MyJobs" account.

Additionally, our "Job Sensei" section gives job-seekers helpful advice on interviews and résumEwriting. Employers create an account in our "HR Tools" section and begin posting jobs (in English and/or Japanese) immediately. They can post an unlimited number of jobs and we welcome posts by professional recruiting companies as well. If they have over 30 positions they' like to post, they send us the jobs in a database file and we'll post them. The password-protected "HR Tools" section of our site allows HR managers full control over their job posts, candidate résumés, and follow-up and rejection letters. The "Hiring Sensei" section gives HR managers advice on conducting an interview, writing their first job post and other topics.

What positions are available?
That changes daily as companies post new jobs. Right now, we have about 400 jobs for bilingual professionals in IT, Finance, Language, Advertising, and other fields at Gaishikei, Fortune 500, and start-up companies. That number will grow considerably when we begin our advertising campaigns later this year. We are well on our way to becoming the number one resource for finding a job in Asia.

What is the best way for a person to utilize your website?
Job-seekers should register with our "WeSearch" functionality for free. Employers should post all of their jobs for free and use our value-added services to attract candidates to those posts.
