Please tell us a bit about your company.
PeopleSoft Japan started up about 13 years ago in the US and has since dramatically increased in size, both in the US and around the world. We currently employ around 8000 employees worldwide and are an exciting company for which to work. We are the number one company worldwide in pure Internet architecture. The software we produce includes financial accounting, HR, supply chain management, student administration, ERP, CRM and a host of other software. In less than four months since releasing our latest product, we have already had over 1000 orders. Our customers are the larger companies across many different industries and include many multinationals. What position are you seeking to fill?
We are currently looking for a financials support analyst or senior financials support analyst for our global support center in Tokyo. The position consists of handling customer software issues and resolving them. On a daily operational basis, this entails employing sound business judgement when making business decisions, using creative and innovative ways to solve problems, displaying a strong work ethic, participating in team projects that enhance the quality or efficiency of support, participating in system and release testing as needed and to act as a role model and mentor for less senior analysts.

What are the requirements for the right candidate?
The position requires good fluency in both English and Japanese, excellent customer skills, good analytical and problem solving abilities, with excellent accounting/financial and computer knowledge. The position also requires general business skills such as strong time-management skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organization and prioritization skills, ability to work efficiently and independently, ability to provide timely meaningful, fact-based and constructive feedback to others. The position would suit people who like using computers, utilizing the latest technology and software, like communicating with people and customers, like problem solving and like using their multilingual skills.

Please tell us briefly about salary range, benefits, etc.
PeopleSoft offers many benefits. We offer very competitive salary packages based on education, experience and skills. Employees can participate in our stock plans and good performers are given stock options. Our share price has been making big gains since the company became listed. The share price is still going up even though many IT stocks have recently been decreasing. From time to time, there are opportunities for people to go for short-term training in the US or other countries, although the position is office based. We have a casual attire policy and don't usually have to wear a suit.
